there are cases of a 400 acre dairy farmer, selling the cows and just cash grain farming his 400 acres. in those instances the acres of the operation didnt grow, but no longer having livestock, they technically down sized with a full retirement on the horizon. it maybe isnt polite to say "they are dying" but they sure aint growing.
