We're in SW Missouri. We haven't been in the field since the last of April. We've had 11-12" of rain. Just about the time ground is dry enough to plant we get another 1-2". Our plant starting date was March 20th. We were cold here but ground was right for planting. If you didn't plant early you didn't a stand. Lots of corn was planted just before rains came and most didn't get a stand . Some went in an sprayed what was there to kill it planning to replant or go to beans. We got ours planted early and for the most part looks good. We have been wanting to plant beans for the last 2 weeks and is just staying damp enough not able to run. We have a large planting window down here . We'll no-till beans into the wheat stubble into the middle of July if we have moisture. | |
