north two- county tier of iowa from I-35 west (cerro gordo to clay and north) is full and by full i mean every possible pothole is full of water or potholes with crop not emerged yet because it was replanted or dead. lots of fields just got planted in the last two weeks. Early corn looks tough in alot of fields...late stuff is well late. Kossuth co. alone is a 55M corn 10M soy producer and it looks tough top to bottom. Words like "perfect" "ideal" etc are just not in anyone's vocabulary in this area. Have not been into So. MN. but guessing southern counties may look the same. Not going to write the area off as disaster yet but the upcoming storms will push things back yet again. This entire area had isolated rain bombs on friday and now Forecasting 1-3 with severe weather over this entire area tonight through tuesday. going to be a long couple days im afraid.
