| I have around 100 left-over grass rolls from 2023 that are stored in a dry barn. We are now working on our 2024 crop and I would like the barn space to store the 2024 hay without burying the 2023 crop in the back of the barn as we cannot access the barn from both ends. Obviously, we'd like to use the 2023 hay first so that it isn't stored for 2 years before use.
Has anyone put a thin layer of wrap on dry hay to store it outdoors? We have access to an inline wrapper. Any other ideas?
We are a small family farm in central KY with beef cattle.
