It's a joke. How can 33% of the acres be unplanted or unemerged in first week of June yet the crop is 75% good to excellent. And how can what's emerged be rated that high when so much of it is unplanted or not emerged this late? Common sense would say if we've been battling excess moisture that there will be large areas of drownouts, stunted corn, unplanted water holes, poor stands, weed issues, etc.



The way I understand it, G/E ratings are only on what is emerged, and what they see.

So, if I'm right and you intended to plant 1000 acres, but only got 500 in, but it looks excellent, you would have a 100% excellent rating for your crop.
