Kingston,Mi
You can keep the joint "green" by covering it with wet burlap. Next pour will bond, this how we poured manure tanks. Also leave the surface rough. Silo across the road from my place was poured over a period of a couple days using one set of forms, set them in the morning, eat lunch, pour in the afternoon, repeat. I can't remember if they poured twice a day. They hoisted the concrete using a winch on a Dodge Power wagon (WW2 style) and I think they had a work platform on the inside that the lifted with each pour. That silo is a 16 by 60 and identical to the big silo at the farm SHE WHO MUST BE OBEYED operates and built by the same crew in the same year, have never seen either one leak at the seams.
