East of Broken Bow | Around here, when the coops merged and became 'big' they became a lot easier to compete with.
Small feed mill is busy as can be. The 'big' coop doesn't want to be bothered with small batch mixes of feed.
Small independent spray guys are busy as the 'big' coop will drop everything to spray a field for one of their 'big' customers leaving everyone else to sit and wait.
Our coop even quit doing tires when they became 'big' for some reason, so 2 small tire shops opened since then.
Now, they won't compete with the 'big' coop for a 10 semi load feed order, but the guys that want small orders or a custom mix don't even bother calling them anymore. | |
