Minnesota | Social security is the least of the governments problems, when it comes to spending, first off social security isn’t a handout everybody who’s paid taxes has paid in over the years to social security. Who cares if someone has done well in life,and has enough to retire if they paid in they should get their ss benefit just like everybody else, raising the age really only hurts the one that probably need ss the most like you said the welder or steel worker, having different ages for different professions is just kind of stupid, when a person gets older the body just doesn’t work as well and as fast as it did when it’s younger, plenty of other places government could trim the fat from.
