Thank you for the links. Just finished reading the first article. The best info I’ve seen on AgTalk in a long time.
Interesting that 1967 was just prior to the land boom of the 70s. And by the definitions in the article the 70s were a boom fueled by speculation.
Is that similar to today? I doubt it since a high percent now is being bought with little debt (thats my opinion, not a fact). Yes land may retreat in value but if there aren’t major debt foreclosures it would seem unlikely to enter a free fall as in the 30s and 80s.
Time will tell.
