Also ask yourself logically. Why would any grain company not want to fix basis on physical corn they take in during the fall which is always, always the weakest time of the year for basis values. DP bushels brought in during harvest automatically mean the grain will be worth more later. Basis is 1/2 of the profit center for all elevators and they won’t give up that “easy” money by offering DP.
