This has come up lately on what stage crops should or shouldn’t be at. How many GDU’s on average would be accumulated in that area if planted say April 20th? If it takes 110-120 GDU’s for emergence and then 80-85 per leaf we should be able to calculate what growth stage corn should be at.

I do agree with Deere that knee high by June 4th this far south is pretty quick maturity and a good goal. With normal June weather we would be pushing tassels by July 1 which is on the early side.
