When some of this technology first started I believe they were working on making dairy cattle polled essentially. They did it successfully and it was really pushed as being a huge break through that needs to be pushed hard for acceptance for welfare reasons around dehorning. Well anyway I think later on a couple yrs later I read something that they had mistakenly or unknowingly added / inserted antibiotic resistant genes or ecoli or something like that as well into these animals DNA. Probably can't even find that report anymore.
Haven't heard a lot about since but know they're still working on other things still as well. | |
