Amherst WI | Last time I grew baleage to sell it went poorly.
Guy wanted everything I had so I turned business away, then come April and 50% of the bales were still there he lost interest after a winter of holding checks and driving 12 miles to the field to load 8 bales at a time. Lesson learned.
My neighbor however has tried to put up supreme quality baleage and he sells it to dairys and deer people. He asks top dollar and gets it. I'm kind of surprised that most of it goes at least 150 miles, that's a long way to haul water.
I don't think putting up a small grain baleage will accomplish what you want to do.
