SodbusterIII - 6/7/2024 08:44 Requiring everybody to pay the same rate on all income is unfair in your world? When SSI was first established there was no income cut off for payment all wages were taxed at the same rate and the employer paid everything. Then the high income and business owners bought a bunch of politicians to change the rules to their bennifitt.

Not at all, IF you give them benefits that are directly proportional to what they pay in.    And then you’re right back to where you are now.

What you’re proposing is increasing what they pay in without increasing their benefit (or even decreasing it with means testing) which is nothing short of socialism/wealth redistribution/theft.

Since you’re worried about what SS originally was, what’s your take on the SS age not being raised to match the increase in life expectancy over the past ~90 years?

And while I have you on the phone, have you found any credible links to your claim of 1 Km tall windmills in Texas being used for base load generation?
