Triticale is amazing stuff. We always plant a couple totes of it along with rye. Trit seems to yield more, mature slower and ton up alot better. Does cost more and we've had it winter kill some. Ours tonned up great this year. A 13 ft mower pass then our jd 3970 pull type chopper was all it wanted. Mostly 2nd gear some 1st gear and also was clutching it at time. Our bunker is full!!!!!!! Like garvo says a cattle feeder is never broke if he has a pile of feed.
