East of Broken Bow | Neighbor has a hydraulic post hole digger that fits on a 3 pt frame, and he can move the powerhead to a bracket that holds it on a loader bucket.
One thing about a hydraulic drive, it drills straighter holes than a PTO unit. The 'twist' of the PTO shaft makes the digger always want to dig holes that angle a bit as they go down. Having a minimum amount of slop on everything helps, but often we still need to adjust the 3 point arms a little to make ours dig straight down (and then it looks funny because it leans just a little when up in the air). | |
