Subject: RE: Raising beef or managing grass

Dealing with those who have never raised livestock other than a pet or 2 are always a pain. As they are the expert if they own the land. Being California with a Mediterranean climate and all annual forages, NOTHING THEY READ ABOUT ROTATIOAL GRAZING APPLIES. But I am in trouble no matter what I do. Pulled cows back to home ground to pull calves 3 months early to save grass in drought. The annual grass was still green and trying to grow with very limited rain on the rented acreage. But was told I had over grazed and had to rest this acreage.

Expect your problems are a bit different but close. Some you can educate. Somewhere just born smarter than any working man. Since they read a different book than you're working from YOUR WRONG. So good luck can help as much as anything else you do.
