SC WI | Leased equipment and rented land is what makes up a good portion of cash grain operations. The ones positioned right would surrender or bankrupt an entity, leaving the landowner or Lender high and dry. This could lead to a very slippery slope of values plummeting.
If corn goes to a point where I can’t break even with what I have, my rented ground and leased equipment is gone and I’ll farm another way or increase my non farm income. | |
