Subject: RE: Offset charcoal smoker

Mankato MN; Casa Grande AZ
I like the challenge. I bought my first one, a Brinkman, 30 years ago for $200.
I keep a detailed cooking log so I can tweak the cooking the next time.

I tried the pellet smokers, and they definitely are easy, they even have a cookbook included for the beginner

My first pellet grill could run on shelled corn also

I currently cook on a vertical barrel smoker and charcoal while snowbirding. My best briskets have come off of it while running an estimated temp of 350-450F

I have a big green egg that I received in a trade for that I’m going to start working with

Good luck,
