Western Ohio | For what it's worth, we had the same issue in 2015. Good crops laid by ,and then 40 days of saturated ,anerobic soils. Corn went backwards every day. Ended up deciding not to do anything,as it was going to take about 50bu. to break even. Wish now we had done it,worst corn I have ever raised in about 45 years. averaged about 90, grassy and weedy. Did a lot of image and reputation damage. If we had only broken even,still should have rescued it.Actually had a plane lined up to do it ,and cancelled. Suit yourself, but I think you will regret NOT doing something | |
