I bring up the dept clock every once in a while just to see the numbers. One thing that caught my eye recently was the savings per household. For the longest time it showed that savings per household was consistently around $11,000. then just a few weeks ago it suddenly dropped to around $8,400. and has been dropping at a daily fast rate, several dollars a day and currently at $7,500..
My questions is/are, how accurate is this info and does anyone know why the sudden drop and subsequent rapid decline. Is the consumer in deep trouble?

apparently your spelling is as good as your gold predictions
