I’m not sure the multiple ground rods is necessary in our environment. Soft wet clay soil is a lot better conductor than dry sand like a lot of people using fence chargers deal with. On the portable battery powered chargers I’ve clipped a jumper wire to a steel post and had a plenty good ground. Get a tester and see what you have around the fence.


I've already got two rods on hand to install so I'll start with those but lack of moisture is something I'm not concerned with.
