No way you will cut as many acres a hour with a PT as SP.

16 ft disc head on hw365 here. On good irrigated 1/2 mile rows of pivot tracks aren't too bad. I avg 12 an hour. We were like you with PT about 7. Sure is alot nicer opening up along fences, pivots etc then having it swung to side. We had a 8300 on ours and could run 12 mph. But the turning and field edges etc is what kills time. .

We have a brome field with terraces I can cut in well over half the time with SP I can do it in about 3 hours now. Took 7 hours with PT.

Plus you have way less run over on ends and better hsy vs how many windrows you run over with PT 2 windrows vs 4-5.
