Run 16’ haybines laying a 8’+ swath. Run a 14 wheel Sitrex with all sorts of room, 12 would probably work okay but not much room for error. Rake mostly 2 ton/ac hay and have never had a minutes issue with it. Have accidentally raked in D-1 for a few rounds with the 4440, thought I shifted down to C range but evidently I forgot.

Edit: I have the hydraulic adjust model, manual isn’t worth it as you can’t dial it in EXACTLY how you want. We rake the windrows as tight together as we can without bunching. If I have to swerve on occasion with the baler that’s a million times better then making bugle bales since the windrows are tight in the middle
