Oil being bought with in dollars created international demand for dollars allowing the US to create a lot of money while allowing the whole world to soak up a large amount of the inflation that it would have caused.

In theory this will lead to higher levels of inflation and a weaker dollar going forward.


I agree. America has lived good due to the government running a printing press and exchanging those dollars for cheap merchandise bought abroad.
