NW Iowa | If it doesn't have a slide tray, you have to be careful, and you want sharp knives.
If it's a busted square bale you drop them in slow and let it chew
up before adding more.
I've pulled apart a round bale with my grapple bucket
and feed it in slow, but it has to be dry crispy hay
If you drop a wad, it will wrap the auger, shear the pin, and you will dig it out.
To me it's not worth it unless you ran short of tub ground hay and are just doing it to get by till you grind more.
I tub grind all mine.
