I tend to agree. I do understand how the petrodollar creates demand for USD, but I think the impact is being greatly exaggerated and used for fear messaging. Saudi oil exports are just not that big a part of global trade no matter how self important they think they are. Side note reminder, a strong USD is negative for ag products anyway.
