| Yesterday I put out a test.
Cows are on tender Klein grass, cows are at the top edge of proper condition. Pattys look almost like wheat pasture cows. So I put out a bale of rained on wheat hay cut at bloom. And right beside it a bale of wheat straw. The straw is all full length since I run a walker combine and the same color since the wheat was rained on about 4”.
May be a few days before I lay eyes on em, what do you think will happen?
I intend to apply the liquid feed to make them eat the straw , but I had a wet bale I figured I’d just see what happens.
