When you are spraying, are you running the wheels of the sprayer on planter wheel tracks? I had a lot better luck with my OnTrac 3 spraying corn when I could keep the sprayer wheels on the tracks left by the planter. I even added extra wheels to the planter, partially to get a better seal on the NH3, but also to have firm ground for the sprayer. This also reduced the dust that was causing escapes behind the wheels.
Yes, and No. We plant 60' but spray 90' so we are on the tractor tracks 2 times out of 3. Some neighbors who have 60/90' sprayers only spray 60' to exactly follow their tractor planter tracks. I don't agree with that idea but each to their own. |
