Thanks for posting about Dr. Fred, since I quit belonging to The Society of Range Management, I've not followed his work for close to 25 years. He was one of my professor's in college, also worked with my father in his profession. However I felt he was doing research that would have been very beneficial to western lands grazing and taste aversion of poisonous plants, and trying to delvop eating habits in grazing. I don't think it ever really took off.

I sure could be wrong though as I've not kept up on his research. We joke in our valley there was a guy that starved his cows one winter, made them eat sagebrush. He never killed them. He's since past away, when we talk of brush removal, his name always comes up.
