| If you could get a cow to eat mesquite trees you’d be a rich man around here. They do love the beans though. My pasture spray guy did one of the best jobs I’ve ever seen for a weedmaster spray this year so there’s no mesquite leaves and hopefully won’t be any beans.
The cows all have some longhorn in them so the colors are wild, they are fat enough a guy asked me the other day what breed of show cattle they are. The funny colored calves have to look really good to not get docked on them at the sale. So no starvation for me.
I can’t stand the thought of letting someone buy my calves and get a big compensatory gain out of them because they have been hungry.
