I don’t need to go drive the I States. For the most part, there is a lot of ice cream dirt in them that is well tiled, thus the yields that get pulled off in large areas of them. So, a reasonable person would assume in dry years it likely won’t be that bad as a state, especially when it’s early to mid June. Monsoon years can be interesting, I’ll give them that. What tends to help there is the longer growing season.
If you want to own a combine that sits most of the year and depreciates more than other equipment, go ahead. I’m typically going before the crew and stop after them, so I’m plenty busy. Whatever floats your boat.
I comment because it’s a message board, that’s what they’re designed for. Toss in I’ve chatted with enough folks on here who have been burned listening to many said I State reports, so I try to level set. You, and some others, may not like it, but it has proved to be more accurate as soon as last year. So, I’ll save the fuel and mileage. | |
