| Yes, absolutely the POINT will record the weight of your grain cart.
We built POINT to be expandable, and use across many different aspects of the farming industry.
There are many good options to choose from for scale solutions today in the marketplace. And all of them have great features.
To expand the use of POINT for features on your grain cart, you would need the REAP iOS (Apple) mobile app for the purpose of managing and downloading the load tickets within the POINT indicator. This comes with an annual $175/yr subscription for the service. This subscription covers all users, all devices, and all carts on your farm. (we do not charge by individual device). REAP connects to POINT with Bluetooth (1000 ft range)
If you want to look into the REAP app, you can download it for free on the App Store. We provide a 2 week free trial (test drive) to check it out. You can also check out the REAP web dashboard at farm.scale-tec.com. I think everyone should get to kick the tires a bit...this at least lets you kick the tires.
You can manually start and stop the recording of each load with your POINT, and utilize REAP for the record keeping.
Additionally if you want or need a feature to log the weights automatically there are a few accessory options that we call "Harvestmate Bundles," that you can choose from too that will allow POINT to automatically record the weight. There may also be existing PTO hardware on your cart that is already compatible and for that you would not need the Harvestmate bundle to record the weights with POINT, because POINT is compatible with that hardware already, making it a very easy upgrade.
