In this area last year there was a lot of first cut hay put up in September. As a neighbor used to say “ it will be better feed than snow balls “. Sometimes you just have to do what you can.
We have been so cool this year that the alfalfa has not started to bloom yet. Low areas had a touch of frost this morning. Silage corn that has been planted for 5-6 weeks is barely three leaves. Going to need some heat.
