The OP is in better dirt than me. Here better than snowballs only applies to bedding. Lots of cows would be better off eating brush, tree bark, and leaves than some hay I see get baled. I had a friend bale a bunch of late first cutting hay that hadn’t been fertilized in years. He bough more grain that year than ever just to keep his cows in decent condition.
How late have you made first cut hay?
