I had a similar problem with my setup. I ended up getting a mesh Wi-Fi system, and it made a huge difference. The signal strength is much better now, even through multiple walls and buildings. Another option that worked for me before was powerline adapters—they use your existing electrical wiring to extend the network. Both options are solid and much more reliable than just a basic extender.
