53925 | Keep the chopper full so you're not chasing windrows. I actually use my single merger for baling hay. It picks it up and puts it on dry ground (for dry hay) then can come back and put 2,3,4,5 etc together so I can drive slow with the baler. I also like it for baleage a lot of rakes struggle with really wet hay and there again I can put as many or few together I'd like. Many guys around here have gone to spreading straw out then merge it an hour or so before baling but you lose the fines. | |
