Why farmers don't pay tax on their living expenses plus land payments every year is beyond me. Why expense machinery to get below that? You have to pay it someday.
With the right living arrangement and business structure, a lot of living expenses are deductible. Beyond that, the goal should be to max out a lower tax bracket as much as possible.
