Wisconsin | If it's going to be pasture, you don't want to be cutting it twice a year, do you? Herbicide activity is based on temp and moisture, rain every other day and 80 and I bet the crossbow is gone in half the time it would be in April.
edit: then again, if you're willing to cut it once a year, the cattle will graze a lot of brush and then cutting it will thin it out very well over time.
