WC MN | Its way too wet in a lot of the red river valley and surrounding areas. There will be some PP but there were guys still planting corn up until mid June, partly due to having fertilizer applied in mid May and it staying wet for a long period of time. That corn needs to be tasseling by Aug 1 +/- to have a chance at making corn that is harvestable. Not out of the ordinary for us to have a frost in mid to late September. Southern Half of Minnesota has a lot of waterlogged areas. That bleeds over into SD and the very northern tier of Iowa.
Will it matter? Maybe maybe not. It will be the first strike against a all time record yield by 4 bushels per acre that the USDA is forecasting.
