Oh bull. I drove across the entire Southern and western edge of the corn belt late May that year and it all looked like crap. Or wasn’t planted. Of course the price was demand driven . . . the supply wasn’t there and a percentage of the corn that was harvested was inferior quality.
And the cash market couldn’t hide the BS that USDA put out.
Cash bids went from -.25 to +1.00 and stayed there for 3 years cleaning up the USDA lies.
