A problem here with a hot wire only is deer will run right through it and put it down or break the wire.  If you can put in some good corners, you might consider running one or two smooth, hot, high tensile with springs. High tensile on flat ground lets you space posts farther apart. One could be hot. One ground or use three high tensile.
