I had one do the same thing this year. Darned thing got out in the water and fell over some limbs. He kept his head above water, but it was the beginning of the end for him. I don't know if there was a connection, but the cow laid down and died a month later with no warning. I'm wondering if there's been something wrong with her all along and she passed it on?
