Cherokee iowa | Is kept in place for now. With spring insurance on corn @$4.66 at 85% I figured would be same as 250 corn at $3.79 same money. If one would sell ahead a monster crop at current prices and corn came in at under $4 this fall could even be revenue insurance added on. I don’t personally think we can achieve 178 right now with perfect weather going forward. And perfect weather now days are few and far between. I’m at the mercy of the USDA and the data they give to its employers so we can set our business models. Im planning on some cheap puts in the corn and I hope they get shoved down my throat. As always risk what you can afford to risk. It’s a choppy world market. Edit local basis since 2020 been in my favor and still is here locally. History odd in itself
