| The flooded areas are just a huge mess, beyond what any pictures can show, and we all feel for those affected and hope they can recover quickly as possible. But one needs to take their eyes off the yield number. It is yield on harvested acres, and for the most part , the acres that will be harvested are in pretty good shape.
One has to so do when the ACRES will be changed, how many actually were planted, and how many will have a crop to harvest. Looking only at USDA’s yield # will lead you down the wrong path. | |
