If he takes to baseball and plays in hs get him a good glove. The only made in the USA glove left on the market is Nokona ball gloves. Made in my home town by a still family owned and operated company. They are pricey, that's why I say wait and make sure it's something he loves. However, Their gloves will last a lifetime though. And if anything ever needs fixed, they can fix/rebuild it. One of the guys I work with actually found his grandfather's 1930's Era glove a few years ago, and took it to them and they were able to find the right dies for the leather and completely rebuild it for him.
