He's been burned by the models, so he is basically pitching them for now in favor of looking for ocean temperature setups with the absence of a blocking high over the West that is most analogous to our current situation.  The blocking high that matters most in his forecast will continue in the SE part of the country which blocks the gulf moisture for the Eastern corn belt. That year is 2010.  Again, dry in the SE corn belt with too much in the NW corn belt which is our pattern.  He specifically says the set up does not favor a large corn yield on a national level.

So yeah, he pretty much disagrees with your premise of selling now.  Nothing wrong with sell some here and there as you advocate tho.

Time will tell.  But, I'd place my bet on Snodgrass rather than the models, especially this year.
