Unknowns are being removed and unknowns drive price higher. A sub 170 national average possibility is slowly being whittled away. Each day without high heat and rain in the forecast means true rationing will not have to take place. So the market is left to debate a carryout and the cost to carry those bushels of between 1.4 and 2.2 billion. Right now the market needs to entice someone to carry corn over and driving the nearby lower spurs demand that may have been on the fence and causes those with storage to begin to pencil a profit on storing old crop bushels into the new marketing year. We are resetting the market so that seasonals will begin to work again.
