I also find it absurd that the market could completely ignore the devastation and instead focus on rain that may or may not materialize on the dry areas. I know they call it futures but still......
Regardless of what “experts” say on here, the fear of the government report on Friday will override ANY news. Government holds the power.
Only after that will we see what the market thinks. Until the next interruption from USDA…..and repeat.
If we didn’t have the constant fear and comfort from USDA reports, markets would behave entirely different.
