Exactly my point. Flood is 50% efficient because half the water percolates back in to the aquifer whereas sprinklers do not. It depends on soil type of course. If the Jr pumpers are not willing to do what is absolutely necessary and scrap the pivots for flood irrigation, then I have no pity for them. Imo.
